Business Formation
Business Formation Services
Here's how I run business formation services: I organize the checklist, map the order of operations, and set up the accounts and systems a new business needs. Then I introduce you to a licensed attorney, a CPA, and a registered agent, and they handle the filing and the advice. I never file. I never give legal or tax advice.
Business Formation Services Start With Your ZIP
This means I organize the checklist and the order of operations, then introduce the attorney who files. Give me your ZIP and I'll tell you where you are in the process.

What it is
What Business Formation Services Means, Done Honestly
The first thing I ask is whether the business has a name yet.
- Before you file anything, I map out the order of operations.
- A licensed attorney, CPA, and registered agent handle the licensed work.
- I'm not an online filing service, and I promise no turnaround time.
- Houston is home base; I fly out when the work calls for it.
- You walk in already organized, not from zero.
An attorney weighs in only once those facts are on the table.

What's included
What's Included in Business Formation Services
Six pieces build in the order a new business needs them, starting with the entity conversation your attorney will finish.

The Entity Conversation, Organized for Your Attorney
I map the actual questions first. How you'll be taxed as an LLC or an S-corp, who else owns a piece of this, what you're willing to be personally on the hook for. Your attorney tells you which option fits your facts.
The Order-Of-Operations Checklist
Entity comes first, then the state filing, with the rest following from there. I've watched a bank account get opened before the entity was even filed.
EIN and Business Bank Account Setup
The IRS issues the EIN directly, and it is free.
Registered Agent Introduction
Your state requires a registered agent for lawsuit notices.
Licensing and Permit Mapping
The city licence the state never mentions still applies.
The First-Year Compliance Calendar
A franchise report deadline lands somewhere in year one.
The process
How I Deliver Business Formation Services, Step by Step
Two steps, EIN and bank account, move in parallel.
- I have a conversation first about what you're building, who else is involved, and whether this is the right starting point for where you are today.
- I list every account, license, and system your stage needs.
- Then I build the checklist so the entity, EIN, bank account, and licenses happen in the right order.
- I introduce you to a licensed attorney for the entity decision, and a registered agent for the filing, the parts that require a license, never handled by me.
- Early on, I line up the EIN and the bank account groundwork, because a missing document can stall day one.
- You get the first-year compliance calendar from me, so an initial report or a franchise tax date never catches you off guard.
- I check back in once the professionals have filed everything, confirming the accounts and the systems match what got formed, and closing any gap before it turns into a problem down the road.

Who this is for
Who Business Setup Services Are for, and What Changes Either Way
This work fits someone about to file.
- A first-time founder usually has more questions than confidence.
- A second-time founder wants the organized version this time.
- Solo founder or funded startup, same sequence, different depth.
- A founder who skips a step often has to redo a filing that was already paid for.
- Your attorney saves time.
Once the business exists, the next gap is usually the systems running inside it, the work that becomes business consulting services.
Boundaries
What Business Formation Does Not Do
I keep this line clear so a new business isn't at legal risk before it opens.
No Filing
I never file your articles of organization or articles of incorporation, or any other state paperwork, myself. Your attorney or registered agent files, working from what I organize.
No Legal Advice on Which Entity to Choose
An LLC or an S-corp means something different depending on who else owns a piece of the business, and which one fits is a call for your attorney and CPA.
No Tax Advice
Tax advice on which entity saves more, and anything filed with the IRS or a state, never comes from me. I only organize the accounts and categories your CPA will need.
No Guaranteed Timelines or Outcomes
A state's own processing time is out of anyone's hands, mine included, whether that's two weeks or two months. I won't promise a turnaround an online filing service might. What I'll give you instead is an organized starting point.

What This Work Means
What Does Business Formation Include, in Plain Terms?
Formation work starts with the checklist and the order of operations, worked out before anyone files a single form. I never file anything myself, and I never give legal or tax advice.
Do You File My LLC or Corporation for Me?
Filing is the one part that requires a license, and I don't hold one, so no. A registered agent or your attorney files the paperwork. I organize everything around that, so the filing itself is fast and correct the first time.
What's the Difference Between This and an Online Filing Service?
An online filing service takes your form and submits it, usually with no conversation about whether it's the right form. I do the opposite. I organize the order of operations and the accounts around your specific situation, then hand the filing itself to a licensed attorney or registered agent, not a form on a website.
Is This the Same as Business Setup Services?
Same work, different name searchers use for it, in my experience. Business setup services and business formation both mean the checklist, the order of operations, and the accounts a new business needs, organized before you file, not after.
The Checklist and the Order of Operations
What's the Right Order to Form a Business — Entity, EIN, Bank Account, Licenses?
Entity first. Then the state filing. Then the EIN. Then the business bank account. Then licenses, then insurance. Doing it out of order is how a new owner ends up trying to open a bank account before the entity legally exists. The checklist exists to prevent that mistake.
What Accounts and Systems Does a New Business Need on Day One?
Every business needs a different list, though an EIN letter that once lived in a spam folder is the one document I make sure never slips through.
Show 9 more questions
Do You Handle LLC Formation Services, or Only Established Businesses?
Both, in my practice. LLC formation services here mean I organize the checklist and the order of operations before you file. I introduce the attorney and registered agent who handle the entity decision and the filing. I also help businesses that already filed and need the accounts organized after the fact.
What Is a Registered Agent, and Do I Need One?
A registered agent receives your business's lawsuit notices for you.
Licensed Professionals and Where I Draw the Line
Do You Give Legal or Tax Advice About Which Entity to Choose?
I don't give legal advice on which entity to pick. A licensed attorney and your CPA decide that instead.
Who Do You Introduce Me to, and How Do You Pick Them?
I introduce you to a licensed attorney, a CPA, or a registered agent, matched to what your formation needs, and I put my own name behind the introduction.
Do You Get Paid for Referring Me to an Attorney, CPA, or Registered Agent?
I never take a referral fee for an introduction to a licensed professional, no. If I ever have a business relationship with someone I introduce you to, I'll say so before I make the introduction, never after.
Choosing Help and What Happens Next
What's the Difference Between This and Business Consulting Services?
Business Consulting Services is the ongoing work. Organizing your team, your systems, your automation, once the business already exists. This is the earlier, narrower slice, the checklist and order of operations for setting the business up in the first place.
What's the Difference Between This and Business Process Automation Services?
This comes first, in my sequence: the entity, the EIN, the accounts, the licenses. Business Process Automation Services is what I build once the business exists and is running, the QuickBooks workflow, the CRM, the operating cadence.
What Do You Need From Me to Get Started?
A picture of where you are, not the version dressed up for a stranger, whether that's not yet filed, just filed, or filed a while ago with the accounts never organized to match. The first conversation starts from whatever that starting point is.
Does a Startup Raising Outside Investment Need Something Different From a Solo Founder?
Only the depth changes, so I add the documentation an investor conversation needs to your checklist.
Why Choose Me for LLC Formation Services
I've seen a new owner open a bank account before the entity was filed. This comes from a builder who has done SEO and web design since 1998; here's the story.
