Technical SEO
Technical SEO Services
Technical SEO services fix the parts of your site a search engine has to get right before content or links ever matter: crawlability, indexing, speed, and Core Web Vitals. I find what's broken, fix it, and prove it with before-and-after data.
Technical SEO Services Start With Your ZIP Code
I still open sites where a crawl error or a slow page is quietly canceling out otherwise good content. Give me your ZIP and I'll tell you what's worth auditing first on your site.

The plumbing
What Technical SEO Actually Fixes
A strong page sits invisible behind a crawl snag.
- I've seen a bloated site burn its whole crawl budget on pages nobody needs indexed.
- I read Core Web Vitals from real visitor data and treat a lab score as a second opinion.
- I compare what a crawler sees on a page with what your visitor sees.
- Schema waits until I've cleaned up the canonical tags and redirects.
A search engine has to crawl a page and index it before that page can rank.

What's included
What's Included
Here's what a technical SEO pass covers, top to bottom.
Crawlability & Indexation
I check robots.txt, crawl budget, and index coverage, the gap between a page existing and a page Google has indexed, against Search Console's own coverage data.
Core Web Vitals & Speed
I pull the CrUX number from your own site traffic.
Site Architecture & Internal Linking
Pages connected well through your sitemap get indexed faster.
Structured Data & Schema
I add Organization and Service schema markup that helps search engines and AI answer engines understand what a page is, and makes it eligible for rich results.
Canonicals, Redirects & Duplicate Content
I find the deleted pages still listed in your sitemap, because each one keeps splitting your ranking signal.
Security (HTTPS, Mixed Content)
I check that your certificate is current, since an expired one costs you rankings and scares off visitors.
JavaScript Rendering & Log-File Analysis
For JavaScript-heavy sites, what a browser renders and what a crawler requests can be two different pages, I've found. Log-file analysis shows me the gap.
Hreflang Correctness
On a multi-region site the wrong hreflang tag sends visitors to the wrong page. I fix the tags here, and the full strategy lives on international SEO services.
The process
How I Deliver It
I run the same seven steps on every audit.
- I run a full crawl of every URL, checking status codes against Search Console's own coverage data.
- I run a Core Web Vitals audit on your top templates using field data.
- I run a render audit on JavaScript-heavy pages, comparing what the crawler sees against what a browser renders on screen.
- I build a prioritized fix list ranked by traffic impact.
- I implement the redirect fixes myself, or hand your developer one exact ticket.
- I re-crawl to confirm each fix landed, with a before-and-after comparison.
- I run an ongoing monthly crawl diff, with alerts the moment a new error shows up.

Where this fits
Technical SEO vs. On-Page and Off-Page SEO
Technical work gets a page found and rendered first.
- A targeted fix beats a rebuild almost every time.
Off-page work covers links and mentions built elsewhere, a separate piece from either.
Not the Same as On-Page SEO
On-page SEO optimizes what's written on a page, the titles, headings, content. Technical SEO makes sure the page can be found, rendered, and trusted in the first place. Page speed and Core Web Vitals sit inside technical work; the words on the page don't.
Not a Website Rebuild
I'd rather fix the redirect map than redesign your site.
What changes
What Changes When the Plumbing Works
Once the plumbing works, the pages you already wrote start showing up in the index.
- Right now your good pages may sit unseen while junk pages use up the crawl budget.
- I keep a log of every fix.
- Each month I compare a fresh crawl to the last one, which is cheaper than finding a broken canonical later.
You get a report that ranks what's costing you rankings, with a reason next to every page that isn't indexed.

What Technical SEO Is and Why It Matters
What Is Technical SEO, in Plain Terms?
Technical SEO is the work that makes sure search engines can find, crawl, render, and index every page on your site correctly. It also keeps the site fast and stable enough to show up when someone searches. It's not the writing or the links; I think of it as the plumbing underneath both. If a crawler can't reach a page or render it the way a visitor sees it, nothing else you build on that page gets a fair chance. It won't rank.
Why Is Technical SEO Important If My Content Is Already Good?
Strong pages sit invisible when a broken canonical tag keeps Google from ever indexing them.
What's the Difference Between Technical SEO and Content SEO?
Content SEO covers what's written on a page. Technical SEO covers whether that page can be crawled and indexed at all.
The Audit Process
What Is a Technical SEO Audit?
Each URL's status code gets checked against Search Console's own data, including a canonical pointing at a 404.
How Do You Perform a Technical SEO Audit?
I crawl the whole site, lay the results next to Search Console, and fix first whatever is costing you the most traffic.
How Long Does a Technical SEO Audit Take?
It depends on size. A site with a handful of pages is a quick job, and one with thousands of URLs and years of redirects is not.

Speed, Core Web Vitals & Crawling
What Are Core Web Vitals and Why Do They Affect Rankings?
They're Google's measures of actual page experience. How fast the main content loads, how quickly the page responds to the first interaction, and how much the layout shifts while it loads. Google factors them into rankings. A slow, jumpy page is a worse result, even if the content underneath is good, and I'd add it's a worse experience for the person who clicked through.
What Does "Crawl Budget" Mean, and Does My Site Have a Problem With It?
It's the number of pages a search engine will crawl on your site. My audit shows where yours is being spent.
My Site Isn't Indexed — What Usually Causes That?
Noindex tags left on from staging cause it most often, alongside a robots.txt block or a wayward canonical.
Choosing Help and What to Expect
How Do I Choose the Right Technical SEO Agency?
Ask whether they audit your actual Search Console coverage and Core Web Vitals field data, then re-crawl to prove the fix worked.
Is Technical SEO a One-Time Fix or an Ongoing Service?
Ongoing monthly crawl diffs catch problems like a plugin update breaking a redirect, after the first pass clears what's already broken.
What's the Difference Between a Technical SEO Agency and a Technical SEO Company?
Not much, I'd say. Both terms describe a provider doing this specific work instead of general marketing. What matters more than the label is whether the work is scoped to your actual crawl data and prioritized by impact, whichever word is on the door. I work under my own name, not an agency structure, so you get the same person on your account the whole way through.
