The Journey Begins: Why I Started Writing.

This is the first entry in what I hope becomes a long record. Let me tell you what it's for.

Since 1998 I've built other businesses' growth quietly: websites, search rankings, funnels, and lately the AI systems that run whole operations. I've been the person behind the curtain the whole time. This Journal is me stepping out from behind it.

Three kinds of writing, mixed together the way life mixes them up:

• The craft: what works in marketing, SEO, video, and AI, in plain English. No jargon walls, no gatekeeping. If I figured something out the hard way, I'll hand it to you.
• AI, in the open: I build AI agents and automations for a living, including the system that helps run this very business. I'll show you what's real, what's hype, and what it can do for a company like yours.
• The journey: where I came from and where this is going. Santa Rosa to the Marine Corps, a house that burned down, a fresh start in Houston. Growth is the through-line, in business and in life.

That's how I think about nearly everything, including this page. The first posts won't look like much above the ground yet, and that's fine. The roots are the part that matters, and they're already growing. Thanks for being here at the start of it.
