AI Agent Development
AI Agent Development Services
AI agent development services build one custom agent around one specific job in your business. A chatbot talks with people, and I build this one to act, so it looks something up, drafts a reply or updates a system inside a scope you set on purpose. I hand it a job description and a boundary to respect, and I keep a log of what it did.
AI Agent Development Services Start With Your ZIP
This builds one custom agent around one job that matters in your business. It carries a scope and a boundary it never crosses on its own. Give me your ZIP and I'll tell you what's worth building first.

What it builds
What AI Agent Development Services Actually Build
Auguryn agents run inside my own business every day.
- I give every agent one job and I never stretch it into a general assistant.
- You get an agent that works inside your CRM, inbox and calendar.
- A named person answers for every agent I build.
- Once you set the scope, I keep the agent inside it.
- I test each one against your own real-world scenarios before it ever goes live.
A lead that comes in at eleven at night gets a drafted reply in your own words, queued for you to check by morning.

The problem
The Problem This Solves
The demo that wowed the room stumbled on live CRM data.
- That demo agent never reached your inbox, scheduling or system of record.
- I add guardrails because an agent without them makes a bad call as fast as a good one.
- You end up with an agent that stalls or guesses whenever it has no escalation path.
- Start with one repetitive task that already costs you hours.
- Confidence in AI tools craters the first time one gets it wrong.
Left alone, that same task keeps eating a Tuesday every week.

The components
What's Included
Every project like this breaks into six pieces for me.

Scope & Job Definition
Every project starts with one sentence for me, drafted in a shared Google Doc. What job this agent does, and what it explicitly does not do. I want that line in writing before we talk about tools or timelines.
Tool Access Design
I map your CRM first and give the agent access to nothing off that list.
Guardrails & Escalation Paths
Before launch, I test the boundary and the Slack alert I give every agent.
Build & Testing Against Scenarios
Testing runs against situations pulled from a support ticket before anything touches live data.
Monitoring & Iteration Once Live
Once it's live, I watch the agent and make small adjustments in the first few weeks as new use shows what's missing.
Documentation You Keep
You get a plain-language record of what the agent does and where the line sits, handed over in month one, and anyone on your team can read it without calling me first.
The process
How This Works, and What You Get
Each step waits for the step before it.
Skipping the guardrails step to move faster is how agents end up with holes in them.
- I write the scope definition. One sentence naming the job, and what it explicitly does not do. That sentence is the whole project in miniature.
- I design tool access, mapping exactly which systems and data the agent can reach.
- I build the guardrails and an escalation path, so I know what happens when the agent hits its edge.
- I build and test against scenarios pulled from your business, before it touches live data. Actual situations, not a script written to look good.
- Once it's live, I watch how the agent gets used and adjust its scope as new use shows what's missing.
The boundaries
What I Do Not Do
Scope creep causes most of the failures I see.
I keep each agent to one job, because one that quietly picks up an unrelated second job starts making calls nobody approved.
I Do Not Build an Agent With Unscoped Access
I keep the agent's access inside the scope document and make every change to it in writing.
I Do Not Claim Autonomy Without a Human Owner
You name one person who owns the agent and can shut it off.
I Do Not Skip Testing to Hit a Deadline
Skipping the test to hit a deadline is how a mistake caught in an afternoon turns into one that costs a client live.
I Do Not Confuse This With the General Automation Umbrella
This is different from AI Automation Services, the broader umbrella for any automated workflow. This page is specifically about building the agent itself, as its own standalone, task-executing piece of work. Google's own Secure AI Framework makes a similar case for building organizational controls across the whole AI development lifecycle, not bolting security on at the end. I build to that same order of operations, and I think naming that boundary clearly matters more than which vendor's tool draws the line.
Here’s what I build for you.

What an AI Agent Is
What's the Difference Between an AI Agent and a Chatbot?
A chatbot answers and converses, while an agent acts, in my build. It looks something up, drafts something, routes something, or updates a system inside a scope you set on purpose. If you want the conversational side of this, that's a different service, chatbot development. A chatbot lives on your site waiting for a visitor to type something. An agent runs on a schedule or a trigger and reports back once the job is done.
What Kinds of Tasks Can a Custom AI Agent Do for My Business?
I'd point to research, drafting, routing, and follow-up as the most common tasks I build for. Repetitive work that follows the same pattern every time and currently costs a person hours every week. The exact task depends on your business, so I scope it to one job at a time, not a general assistant. It's rarely the whole job, usually the part of it that repeats every single time, which is exactly the part worth handing off first.
Is an AI Agent the Same Thing as a Workflow Automation?
Not quite. A workflow automation moves data along a fixed path, while the agent I build makes judgment calls inside its scope and hands anything past it to you.
Do You Build One Agent, or Several Agents for Different Tasks?
Either, depending on what your business needs. Some need one agent handling one job well. Others need several working together, the same approach behind this site itself. I'd rather ship one agent that holds up than three that half-work, so we start with whichever task costs you the most hours first.
Can an AI Agent Replace an Employee?
One repetitive task moves to the agent, and your team keeps the judgment calls it hands off.
Will the Agent Get Smarter or Change What It Can Do on Its Own Over Time?
Not without me adjusting the scope first. I watch what it does and expand or narrow what it's allowed to touch as use shows what's missing. It doesn't quietly expand its own permissions; every change to what it can reach goes through the same scope process as the first build.

Access, Guardrails & Control
What Systems or Data Can the Agent Access, and How Is That Controlled?
Only what's named in the scope document I write with you before anything gets built. Your CRM, your calendar, your inbox, or a specific tool, never your whole business by default. So access outside that list simply isn't there to be misused. We write that list together before a line of the agent gets built, using the systems you already run day to day.
What Happens When the Agent Encounters Something Outside Its Scope?
It stops and hands off to a named person, instead of guessing. That escalation path gets designed and tested before the agent ever goes live, so nothing gets decided by a machine that shouldn't be. And I test that handoff exactly like I test the rest of the agent, against situations from your business, before launch, not discovered live.
Who Is Responsible If the Agent Makes a Mistake, and Can I Shut It Off?
You're responsible, and so is the person you name as its owner, with a direct switch to shut the agent off whenever needed.
How Do You Handle Data Privacy for the Systems the Agent Touches?
The scope document names the systems the agent can reach, and nothing else is exposed.
Building & Testing
How Do You Test an AI Agent Before It Touches Business Data?
I test against scenarios pulled from how your business runs, not a demo script written to look good. I want to see it handle the messy cases before it ever gets near a live customer or a live record. If it can't handle the messy version of your business, it isn't ready for the clean version either.
How Long Does It Take to Build a Custom AI Agent?
It depends on the scope. Once I've scoped your job, I give you a firm timeline, since one well-defined task moves faster than one that touches several systems.
Do I Need Technical Staff on My End to Run This?
Not on my end, no. I build and test the agent, document what it does in plain language, and train your team to use it. You don't need an engineer on staff to keep it running. If something ever needs a technical hand, that's still on me, not something I hand you and walk away from.
What Happens After the Agent Is Live — Is It Done, or Ongoing?
Both, in my build. The build has a clear end point. After that, I watch what the agent does and adjust its scope as live use shows what's missing, the same monitoring discipline I run on the agents behind this site. Most of what I catch in the first few weeks is scope that was almost right, not scope that was wrong. Small adjustments, not rebuilds.
How Do I Know If a Task Is a Fit for an Agent, or Just a Simple Workflow Automation?
A fixed-path automation moves data between tools with no judgment involved, useful, but limited to exactly what it's set up to do. An agent earns its place when the task needs a decision inside it. Which lead to flag, which draft fits the moment, which record to update. A good candidate happens often, follows a pattern you can describe in a sentence, and has a clear line for what falls outside it.
Working With Me
Do You Name a Person Who Owns the Agent, or Is It Fully Automated?
A person, always. Every agent I build has a named owner who reviews its escalations and can shut it off. I don't sell autonomy without a human attached to it. That's true even for the agents running this site; a person, not the software, is accountable for what they do.
Is This the Same as Hiring an AI Automation Company for General Workflows?
Close, but I keep them separate. AI Automation Services covers any automated workflow, agent or not. This page is specifically about building the agent itself, a standalone, task-executing piece of work with its own scope and guardrails. If you're not sure which one your project needs, tell me the task and I'll tell you which page fits it.
Can the Agent Work Alongside My Existing CRM or Software?
It can, and building inside your own tools is the whole point of the scope document. It names exactly which of your existing systems the agent connects to, without replacing them, and works inside what you already run. I'd rather build inside the tools you've already paid for and trained your team on than ask you to adopt something new just for this.
What's the First Step If I Want an AI Agent Built?
Tell me the one task that's eating your team's time, and I'll say straight whether an agent is the right fix or something simpler solves it faster.
Is This Different From Just Hiring Someone to Do the Task, or Using a Simple Workflow Tool?
Hiring someone by hand is right while the task keeps changing shape. An agent pays off once the task repeats on a stable pattern.
Why Choose Me for Custom AI Agent Development
I've watched a handoff work only because someone tested it before the agent went live. This comes from a builder who has done SEO and web design since 1998; here's the story.
