Website Redesign Services
Website redesign services should start with what your old site has already earned, because a launch that ignores that record throws it away and the numbers fall in Search Console while somebody is still looking at the new home page.

What's included
What's Included in Website Redesign Services
The first file I open on any redesign is the Search Console export, so six pieces protect what already works.

A Full Pre-Redesign Audit
Search Console comes first. I check the top queries and pages by hand and the technical side before I touch any code. A page that never earned its keep gets rebuilt.
URL Mapping & 301 Redirects
I give every crawled address a row beside its new home and confirm it before launch. Pages with nowhere to land stop ranking.
CMS Optimization, or a Clean Migration
I can optimize any CMS in place or move it into a clean agentic build, and the audit says which. WordPress usually needs fewer plugins, while Squarespace and Webflow sometimes need a full move.
New Architecture & Design
I build each page around the search it should win and ask the visitor for one next step, with mobile layout and speed designed in.
An Agentic Upgrade, When You Want One
Static pages sit there waiting to be read. A rebuilt site can answer a visitor's question and point them toward becoming a customer instead, which is the whole idea of the agentic layer. It runs on a platform you license from me. Separate decision, never bundled into a quote.
A Staged Launch With Before-And-After Monitoring
You get a staged launch where I test the redirect map, then check rankings and traffic that day and monthly for three months.
The process
How a Website Redesign Works, Step by Step
I built my first site in Dreamweaver in 1998 and moving a page meant dragging a file into a new folder and hoping, so seven steps replace the hoping.
- Audit first, from Search Console data and a full crawl.
- URLs that earn anything get a mapped home on the new site before launch. Skipping this costs people their traffic.
- Your CMS either gets optimized in place or left behind, whichever the audit points to.
- Architecture follows what already works, and the strongest pages keep their place.
- The ranking pages get built first, and the rest fills in around them.
- Go-live happens in stages, and the redirect map gets tested against the live site the moment it opens.
- Each month for three months after launch, I check rankings and traffic myself. Then the comparison gets written up, with indexed page counts from before and after.

Who this is for
Who Website Redesign Services Are for, and What Changes Either Way
This fits you when your current site is losing traffic it already earned, and nobody may have noticed yet.
- You plan some redesigns because a brand refresh or offer outgrows the old site.
- Rankings that slide or a platform you have outgrown can force a redesign.
- Your dated site loses visitors one at a time, and you may not notice.
- Skip the redirect plan and your rankings drop for months.
Someone lands on a dated site and leaves without saying why, and a slow first screen can become a decline. Time it on your phone.
Which one you need
Website Redesign vs. a Brand-New Web Design
I ask whether Google already knows your live site. If it does, I plan a redesign with a redirect map. If not, web design services fit better.
My greenhouse explains the difference. A seedling goes into fresh soil with no history to lose, but a tomato plant already bearing fruit has to come out with its whole root ball or the harvest stops, which is why a redesign takes longer.
What it costs
What Decides a Website Redesign Quote
I price from a crawl's row count, and mapped URLs and the CMS choice move the quote most.
The quote comes after the audit, and your domain and content stay yours, with data exportable any day. No long contract comes attached.

The limits
What a Website Redesign Does Not Include
Four limits apply here, and you should know them before a live migration starts.
No Guaranteed Ranking Outcome
I won't promise an exact position after a migration, and you get the written before-and-after comparison.
No Launch Without a Redirect Plan
Deadlines don't change the rule that a live site never moves without a map of where its pages land.
No Content Thrown Away Without a Look First
Pages already earning their keep don't get rewritten for looking old. Each one gets checked against its Search Console numbers before I touch a word of it.
No Agentic Upgrade Forced Into the Project
Some businesses gain from the agentic layer and others just carry the extra weight, so it is priced separately and only if you ask. The redesigned site works fine without it.

Frequently Asked Questions
These only live on this page. If yours isn't here, ask me below.
Will a Redesign Hurt What I Already Have
Will a Website Redesign Hurt My Current Search Rankings?
It can if someone skips a step, so I give every old address a 301 redirect to a mapped destination before launch.
What's a URL Redirect Map, and Why Does It Matter for a Redesign?
It is a spreadsheet with one row per address on the old site and the address it moves to on the new one. I build it from a crawl of the live site laid beside Search Console, so every page that earned a click gets a destination. After launch the map is tested against the live site, and indexed page counts are compared from before and after. Without it, years of search history end at a dead page.
How Do You Decide What to Keep Versus Rebuild From the Old Site?
The audit shows what each page earns, so earning pages get protected and pages that never worked get rebuilt or folded into stronger ones.
Do You Redesign Sites You Didn't Originally Build?
Most of my redesign work starts on a site somebody else built. The audit and migration plan work the same whichever developer wrote the original code, and I have no interest in judging how the site got the way it is. My job is keeping what earns.
What Happens to My Content During a Redesign, Is It Rewritten or Kept?
Whatever earns stays, word for word where possible. Thin or outdated pages, and any page that is hurting you, get rewritten, and after the audit I show you which pages fall where so a wholesale rewrite never happens by default. A rewrite you didn't need wastes hours on both sides.
Optimizing, Migrating, and the Agentic Upgrade
Can You Optimize My Existing WordPress, Shopify, or Wix Site Instead of Rebuilding It From Scratch?
Usually, yes, when the structure underneath is sound. WordPress usually needs a shorter plugin list and a caching layer, Shopify and Wix a structure and speed pass, and any of them can move into a clean agentic website instead, as the audit decides.

Do You Migrate a Site Off Squarespace or Webflow Onto Something Else?
Yes, when a move is the better answer, and content and structure carry over with the search history under the same redirect map.
What Does Rebuilding Into a Clean Agentic Website Mean?
Agentic means the rebuilt site can answer a visitor's question and steer them toward becoming a customer, instead of leaving static pages to be read. It is an upgrade layered on top of the redesign, never a requirement for one. The layer runs on a platform you license from me, and your content and data stay exportable.
Is Website Migration Services the Same Thing as a Redesign?
Inside every redesign sits a migration, the careful moving of URLs and ranking signals to the new site. The redesign is the whole project around it, meaning new architecture, new design and the plan that protects what came before. Someone changing platforms with no visual change needs the migration alone.
Timing, Cost Factors, and What Changes Either Way
How Long Does a Full Website Redesign Take?
It depends on how much of the old site is worth protecting, so a small, tidy site moves faster and I give firm dates after the audit. I monitor for three months after launch, and upkeep is a separate website maintenance conversation.
What Drives the Cost of a Website Redesign Versus a Website Rebuild From Scratch?
Migration size drives most of it, meaning how many URLs need mapping and how much content needs a rewrite instead of a light edit. Whether the CMS gets optimized in place or moved to something new adds the rest. Quotes come after the audit, since pricing a site I haven't seen would be a guess.
How Do I Know If I Need a Website Redesign or a Brand-New Web Design Build?
One question settles it, which is whether a live site exists that Google already knows. Yes means redesign, with the migration plan as the whole point. No means there is nothing to carry over, and web design services is the simpler route.
What Changes on My Site Once a Redesign Is Finished?
Visitors meet a faster, current site that keeps or grows the rankings the old one earned. Left alone, an outdated site keeps bleeding, one visitor and one slipped ranking at a time. You also get a written before-and-after, so you can see what moved.
Why Choose Me for a Website Rebuild
I've opened a redesign plan where a page with steady traffic had nowhere mapped to land. I've done SEO and web design since 1998; here's the story.
What Clients Say
I don't have client reviews on this page yet; here's how I earn them.
What's Included
Website redesign services cover a URL and content audit, a migration plan with proper 301 redirects, and a rebuild that protects what's already ranking instead of starting from zero. The internet marketing blog goes deeper on how a mishandled URL change quietly costs a site its rankings.
