Internet Marketing Service in Arizona: Measured Every Month.

Need internet marketing in Arizona? Caleb Schallert here, based in Houston. Websites, SEO, video, ads and automation, all from one person, the same remote-first way I work everywhere I don't have a local office. It starts with an audit and a plan you can question; Search Console data every month shows what moved.

Internet Marketing Service Starts With Your ZIP Code

In Phoenix or anywhere else across the state, your ZIP tells me which market you're competing in. Give it to me and I'll show you what results look like there.

Arizona's ground is saguaro cacti on a sunset-red mesa, long desert shadows stretching out. I build to match what's there.

Working With Me From Houston

Clients here don’t get a local address, because there isn’t one to give them. Houston is where I sit.

  • Start with what’s already there
  • A plan you’re allowed to argue with
  • Movement inside the first few weeks, not months

Month one follows that order every time, no exceptions. Nothing turns into a black box.

Caleb Schallert, based in Houston, works with clients across the country.

The Market, Sourced

As of 2024, Arizona counts 7,582,384 people (U.S. Census Bureau estimate). I don't round that up or down for anybody.

  • 7,582,384 people, 14th by population
  • 162,845 employer businesses, 16th nationally (2023)
  • About 21.5 employer businesses per 1,000 people
  • Largest city: Phoenix, 1,673,164 people

The hardest market to break into sits right there (22% of the state's population), where the volume concentrates.

5 metro areas make up the largest markets by population, each with its own local search reality:

  • Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler: 5,186,958 people
  • Tucson: 1,080,149 people
  • Prescott Valley-Prescott: 252,013 people
  • Lake Havasu City-Kingman: 226,479 people
  • Yuma: 220,310 people

The state runs on Mountain (does not observe DST statewide; Navajo Nation portion does) time, per 49 CFR Part 71. That means our standing calls land at a time that works for both of us.

What the Workforce Works In

The workforce concentrates in these three sectors. I check the BLS numbers on this before I build a plan, every time.

  • Health Care and Social Assistance: 462,596 jobs, 2024 (I've seen a well-sourced credentials page outrank a closer competitor's plain listing)
  • Retail Trade: 345,178 jobs, 2024 (where the calendar sets the volume, but accuracy still decides who gets clicked)
  • Accommodation and Food Services: 310,498 jobs, 2024 (where answering a bad review fast beats collecting five-star ones passively)

Swapping the business name on a borrowed template is not a plan. The sector the business sits in is where the plan starts.

A Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler search and a statewide search come from two different readers entirely.

  • The one searcher who truly means the whole state is usually someone about to move here
  • Voice search skews local harder than typed search does, even inside the state
  • A search from Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler already reads local to Google before I touch anything
  • Desktop sessions skew toward comparison shopping; phones skew local

I built a page once for the statewide search alone, and watched it miss half the demand sitting one click from a single metro. Few pages manage to serve both readers at once. Two searches, one page.

What I Would Do First for an Arizona Business

A business rarely needs the same three moves as its neighbor; the sector decides more of the plan than the state does.

  • By 2024, Health Care and Social Assistance had grown to 462,596 jobs statewide, and the first build here is trust, not location; I've seen that hold up every time
  • By 2024, Retail Trade had grown to 345,178 jobs statewide, and I'd get the hours and inventory accurate first; the map pack rewards it
  • By 2024, Accommodation and Food Services had grown to 310,498 jobs statewide, and I'd get a review-response habit running before anything else

Days 30 to 60 build the Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler-specific plan; a smaller metro can probably win faster on a thinner field. I've opened plans for two different metros in the same month and watched them share zero competitors. A clinic and a retailer sitting on the same block can end up with almost nothing in common once the audit is finished, since the sector shapes the plan far more than the address ever does. The sector decides.

SEO company Arizona — a garden ledger with one row circled and staked, its soil like Arizona's own saguaro desert mesa — Caleb Schallert.
I circle the row before I stake it. In Arizona that circle is a metro, not a coin flip.

Seasons, Timing and the Map Pack

I've watched a business win Yuma in half the time it took to move Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler. The state's industries don't share a calendar, so I don't build like they do.

  • Health Care and Social Assistance, doesn't swing with the seasons the way retail does
  • Retail Trade, follows the same national holiday swings, felt harder here
  • Accommodation and Food Services, climbs when travel does, and quiets down right after

The state carries 162,845 employer businesses, and their calendars pull in different directions. Smaller fields move faster.

Internet Marketing Service in Arizona: What an Audit Usually Turns Up

Audits on other sites keep turning up the problems below, each with its numbers. They are not a diagnosis of your site, only a picture of what the first pass looks for.

  • 22 of 157 redirect destinations returned 404
  • Eighteen pages: 442,766 impressions and 51 clicks

Twenty-Two Redirect Rules Pointing at Pages That Returned 404

Two audits had passed a personal-injury law firm's redirect table on loops, self-redirects, chains and duplicates. Where the rules sent people went unchecked. We diffed all 157 unique destinations against the 450 canonical URLs in the XML sitemaps, which left 33 candidates, and 22 returned 404. The cause was Spanish pages that moved under /es/ while the table never followed. All 22 were repointed, 19 to the matching /es/ page, leaving 281 rules and none ending at a 404.

Eighteen City Pages Took 53 Percent of the Impressions

Joining a personal-injury law firm's crawl to three months of Search Console data showed where the impressions went. Eighteen geo pages collected 442,766 impressions. That was 53 percent of the site's total, and it came to 51 clicks. Paginated archives added 21 indexed URLs with 282 impressions and no clicks, and Google reported 166 pages as discovered or crawled but not indexed. We set the paginated archives and both category archive layers to noindex with follow, so they still pass link equity. No page was deleted or redirected. The city pages moved to the front of the rewrite queue.

The full United States directory holds every state page I've built, this one among them, next to the country-level numbers.

The Five Services

An engagement usually pulls from this same set of five. Where your business stands today decides which ones, not a sales pitch.

Quick Answers

Do You Have an Office in Arizona?

No office in Arizona. I work out of Houston, Texas, same as anywhere else I don't keep a physical address. A launch, a shoot, or a leadership meeting is what gets me on a flight. I'd rather say that outright than fake a local office to sound bigger than I am.

How Is Working With Someone Outside Arizona Different From Hiring Locally?

The logistics change; the standard doesn't. A kickoff call replaces the desk visit, and a monthly report built on Search Console data replaces the drop-in. I've told a client bad news before they asked for it.

What Does Working With Me in Arizona Include?

Five things sit inside working together: internet marketing service, website designer, video production service, advertising agency, automation company. I've turned down selling all five to a business that only needed two of them, and I'd do it again.

How Fast Can We Start Working Together If My Business Is in Phoenix?

You'll hear back within a business day, and I mean from me, not an assistant. The kickoff call comes next, then a written plan you get to push back on before anything ships.
