Internet Marketing Service in Colorado: Measured Every Month.
Caleb Schallert, based in Houston. Colorado businesses get the same remote-first process I use everywhere I don't have a local office, across websites, SEO, video, ads and automation. An audit, a plan you can read start to finish, and Search Console data every month that proves it moved.
Internet Marketing Service Starts With Your ZIP Code
In Denver or anywhere else across the state, your ZIP tells me which market you're competing in. Give it to me and I'll show you what results look like there.

Working With Me From Houston
Ask if I keep a local office and the answer is no. Houston is home base, remote-first, no exceptions made.
- Start with what’s already there
- A plan you’re allowed to argue with
- Movement inside the first few weeks, not months
That’s the shape I hold to for any business here: nothing hidden, nothing pushed to next quarter.

The Market, by the Numbers
I start with the plain number here. 5,957,493 people live in Colorado as of 2024 (U.S. Census Bureau estimate).
- 5,957,493 people, 21st by population
- 182,486 employer businesses, 15th nationally (2023)
- About 30.6 employer businesses per 1,000 people
- Largest city: Denver, 729,019 people
Search volume and competition both peak right there (12% of the state's population), the single toughest spot in the state.
Colorado's 5 largest metro areas, by population, each its own local search reality:
- Denver-Aurora-Centennial: 3,052,498 people
- Colorado Springs: 777,634 people
- Fort Collins-Loveland: 374,574 people
- Greeley: 369,745 people
- Boulder: 330,262 people
The state runs on Mountain time, 1 hour behind Houston's Central time, per 49 CFR Part 71. I've never made a client adjust to Houston hours; the standing call moves to fit them.
What the Workforce Works In
The workforce concentrates in these three sectors. I check the BLS numbers on this before I build a plan, every time.
- Health Care and Social Assistance: 331,037 jobs, 2024 (and I build the trust page first here, before anything else)
- Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services: 291,053 jobs, 2024 (where genuine authority beats a polished page every time I've tested it)
- Accommodation and Food Services: 288,906 jobs, 2024 (I've watched a business out-rank a nicer competitor purely by replying faster)
I have never reused one sector's playbook on another and gotten away with it.
Metro Search vs. Statewide Search
Type internet marketing company and Google can't tell if you mean the whole state or Denver-Aurora-Centennial specifically.
- The one searcher who truly means the whole state is usually someone about to move here
- Voice search skews local harder than typed search does, even inside the state
- A search from Denver-Aurora-Centennial already reads local to Google before I touch anything
- Desktop sessions skew toward comparison shopping; phones skew local
- Mobile search leans local by default; desktop leans toward research
I'd rather write for both readers than guess which one showed up. An owner once told me the state page was working fine; the metro-level leak had just gone unnoticed. No guessing which one.
What I Would Do First for a Colorado Business
The first decision isn't which service to buy. It's which metro the business competes in, since Denver-Aurora-Centennial and Colorado Springs aren't fighting the same field.
- 331,037 people worked in Health Care and Social Assistance here as of 2024. That's why I'd lead with reviews and licensing, since that's what a worried searcher checks first
- 291,053 people worked in Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services here as of 2024. That's why I'd lead with the strongest credentials before anything else in a crowded field
- 288,906 people worked in Accommodation and Food Services here as of 2024. That's why I'd build the reply habit first; the pages can wait a week longer
I'd spend the first 30 days on Denver-Aurora-Centennial's own competitive field, then check Search Console 30 days later for that specific metro. A quieter market still gets the same three-part shape from me; it just moves through each part faster. Metro first, always.

Seasons, Timing and the Map Pack
I'd rather name the gap between Denver-Aurora-Centennial and Boulder up front than promise the same pace for both. One calendar doesn't fit the state, at least not once you look past the first industry.
- Health Care and Social Assistance, runs the same in January as it does in July
- Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services, moves on need more than the calendar, with little seasonal swing
- Accommodation and Food Services, follows travel patterns more than the calendar year
Its 182,486 employer businesses sit across industries with sharply different seasonal rhythms. I've judged a build against the wrong metro before and watched the timeline slip by a full month before anyone caught it, which is why I check the metro-specific numbers now before I promise a single date. Smaller fields move faster.
Internet Marketing Service in Colorado: What an Audit Usually Turns Up
Here are two problems that audits on other sites turned up, with the numbers from each. Whether your site has either one is something only an audit can say.
- On-page score from 20 to 73 on a keyword change alone
- Click-through rate of 1.01 percent against 0.09 percent site-wide
A 4,100-A-Month Keyword That Belonged to a Government Program
A home-care company's service page had been assigned a keyword with 4,100 searches a month, chosen on volume alone. The terms around that keyword belonged to a national benefit program, with its acronym and state versions. A private company cannot win it. It would not convert the traffic if it did. The page's title, URL and H1 already matched a phrase searched 2,300 times a month, and changing the target alone took the on-page score from 20 to 73. A keyword's ten nearest neighbors get read before it is committed to now.
Eighty-Three Thin Pages the Rules Said to Delete
The usual rule says to delete thin pages, and it would have removed 83 short case-result pages from a personal-injury law firm's site. The median ran 253 words and 71 of the 83 sat under 300. Yet their click-through rate was 1.01 percent against 0.09 percent across the site. That is about eleven times higher. One page had a settlement figure in its title. It took 16 clicks from 584 impressions. The recommendation was to keep every one and link them from the matching service pages, because a concrete result in a title is what people comparing firms click.
This page sits inside the full United States directory, right alongside the country-level numbers and every other state I've already built a page for.
The Five Services
An engagement usually pulls from this same set of five. Where your business stands today decides which ones, not a sales pitch.

Quick Answers
Do You Have an Office in Colorado?
There's no Colorado office to visit. I run this from Houston, Texas, and I'd rather say that outright than dress up a remote setup as something it isn't. A launch, a shoot, a leadership meeting, still gets me on a flight.
How Is Working With Someone Outside Colorado Different From Hiring Locally?
The logistics change; the standard doesn't. A kickoff call replaces the desk visit, and a monthly report built on Search Console data replaces the drop-in. I've told a client bad news before they asked for it.
With Colorado This Crowded a Market, What Does Working With Me Here Include?
Five pieces make up working together: internet marketing service, website designer, video production service, advertising agency, automation company. Which ones apply is an audit question, and I've been wrong guessing it in advance.
How Fast Can We Start Working Together If My Business Is in Denver?
Reach out and I reply within one business day, no phone tag. We'll talk through the business, then set a kickoff call. A written plan follows that you can push back on before anything ships.
