Internet Marketing Service in Texas: Built to Convert.

The need is a plan that fits Texas, and the work spans websites, SEO, video, ads and automation. I'm Caleb Schallert, Houston-based, working the same remote-first way I work everywhere without a local office. An audit first, a plan you can question, and Search Console data every month showing what moved.

Internet Marketing Service Starts With Your ZIP Code

The state runs on local markets, from Houston out. Give me your ZIP, and I'll tell you straight what results look like for your specific one.

Texas grows live oaks and limestone across hill country, a city skyline at dusk behind it. It's the backdrop for the work I do here.

Working With Me From Houston

Houston is where I work from, and that holds here too. No local address, no pretending there is one.

  • Start with what’s already there
  • A plan you’re allowed to argue with
  • Movement inside the first few weeks, not months

There is no shortcut version of month one. Audit, plan, then work you can see.

Caleb Schallert, based in Houston, works with clients across the country.

Here’s what I build for you.

Audit

Build

On a cadence you can see, remote-first

Prove

Dated Search Console numbers, not a feeling

Audit, build, prove: the same three steps in every state.

Audit, build, prove, in that order, for any engagement, same as anywhere else. Skip a step and it shows up later, probably at a worse time.

The Market, Sourced

I start with the plain number here. 31,290,831 people live in Texas as of 2024 (U.S. Census Bureau estimate).

  • 31,290,831 people, 2nd by population
  • 670,878 employer businesses, 2nd nationally (2023)
  • About 21.4 employer businesses per 1,000 people
  • Largest city: Houston, 2,390,125 people

That's where the field gets thickest (8% of the state's population). More searches just means more rivals chasing the same ones.

5 metro areas make up the largest markets by population, each with its own local search reality:

  • Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington: 8,344,032 people
  • Houston-Pasadena-The Woodlands: 7,796,182 people
  • San Antonio-New Braunfels: 2,763,006 people
  • Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos: 2,550,637 people
  • McAllen-Edinburg-Mission: 914,820 people

The state splits across 2 federally defined time zones: Central and Mountain, depending on where in the state you are. That's per 49 CFR Part 71. That gap is small enough that it's never once cost us a meeting.

The Top Industries

These three sectors carry more of the workforce than anything else, per the BLS's own count, not my guess.

  • Health Care and Social Assistance: 1,671,855 jobs, 2024 (where a credential page does more work than a location pin)
  • Retail Trade: 1,400,612 jobs, 2024 (where current inventory data beats a prettier page every time I've tested it)
  • Accommodation and Food Services: 1,346,478 jobs, 2024 (and the map pack here runs almost entirely on reviews, not star counts)

I size the plan to the sector. That has cost me time when I guessed it early and skipped the audit.

Does a Local Search Mean the Whole State?

Usually not. I've watched the same search narrow from a statewide comparison to one city name within a week, which is why a page has to answer both readers without making either one scroll past the other's answer.

  • The searcher who really means the whole state is often someone about to move here
  • A search sent from Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington already reads as local to Google before I touch anything

Phones skew local harder than desktops, and voice skews local hardest of all. One reader is comparing the whole state; the other already knows their metro by name.

What Should a Texas Business Fix First?

The sector decides more of the plan than the state does, and a business rarely needs the same three moves as the business next door.

Houston is the market I know best, and the Houston page goes deeper on it than this one can. Health Care and Social Assistance reached 1,671,855 jobs statewide by 2024, and in that sector trust signals outweigh being nearby, so credentials and reviews come before proximity work. Retail Trade sits at 1,400,612 jobs, where I lock down hours and stock data before writing a single page. Accommodation and Food Services runs 1,346,478, and there the first fix is always response time rather than review volume.

Thirty to sixty days go into one metro's field specifically. Sixty to ninety are proof from that market's own Search Console data, not a statewide guess.

SEO company Texas — a garden ledger with one row circled and staked, its soil like Texas's own hill-country oaks by a city skyline — Caleb Schallert.
I circle the row before I stake it. In Texas that circle is a metro, not a coin flip.

When Demand Moves, and What It Changes

I've never planned a build around one calendar, because the state doesn't run on one.

  • Health Care stays close to flat year-round, so its plan is steady rather than seasonal
  • Retail swings hard into the fourth quarter
  • Accommodation and Food Services moves with travel and events, metro by metro
  • Oil and gas towns run on a cycle none of the other three share

The map pack rewards whoever is consistent when a category peaks, not whoever spends most that month. I plan the build so the proof lands before the peak, not during it.

Internet Marketing Service in Texas: What an Audit Usually Turns Up

These come from audits on other sites, in other industries. None of them describes your business, and I will not know what yours needs until I have looked.

  • 15 hidden 404s on the monitor's first read after the fix
  • Eighteen pages: 442,766 impressions and 51 clicks

Every Missing URL Answered With a Redirect to a Page That Said 200

A residential remodeler's site had no true 404. A nonsense address, an author archive and a short link each returned a 301 to one error page, and that page returned 200. Google reads that as a soft 404, and the SEO plugin's 404 monitor showed nothing, so the team believed there were no broken links. The plugin's fallback changed from custom redirection to the default 404, and a nonsense URL then returned a 404 status. On its first read after the change, the monitor held 15 rows that the catch-all had hidden.

Eighteen City Pages Took 53 Percent of the Impressions

Joining a personal-injury law firm's crawl to three months of Search Console data showed where the impressions went. Eighteen geo pages collected 442,766 impressions. That was 53 percent of the site's total, and it came to 51 clicks. Paginated archives added 21 indexed URLs with 282 impressions and no clicks, and Google reported 166 pages as discovered or crawled but not indexed. The archives and both category layers went to noindex with follow, which keeps link equity moving. Nothing was deleted. The city pages went to the top of the rewrite list.

What an Engagement Can Include

Whether a business needs one of these or all five comes out of the audit, and it is usually not all five.

  • Internet Marketing Service: the groundwork search runs on: SEO, content, and the technical fixes that get a site found.
  • Website Designer: the site the SEO traffic lands on, built fast enough to convert it.
  • Video Production Service: video in the brand's own voice, not another stock-footage reel.
  • Advertising Agency: paid ads to hold the gap open while the organic rankings climb underneath them.
  • Automation Company: the follow-up and lead-routing work that keeps a new lead from going cold.

One or two first, the rest once those are working. Nobody has yet told me they regretted starting smaller than they planned.

Every state I've built a page for lives in the full United States directory. The figures sit next to the rest of the country there, instead of standing alone.

No generic national page could hold this: population, competition, and industry mix all move state to state.

The Five Services

These five things cover most of what a business ends up needing. I've had clients start on one and grow into three.

Quick Answers

Do You Have an Office in Texas?

No, and I won't pretend otherwise. Houston, Texas is home base, and a client in Texas gets exactly the process I run everywhere without a physical office. A launch or a shoot gets me on a plane; a status update never does.

How Is Working With Someone Outside Texas Different From Hiring Locally?

It's mostly a question of tools. A kickoff call and a written plan cover what a desk visit used to. I've flagged a dropping number to a client before they'd even opened that month's report themselves.

What Does Working With Me in Texas Include?

Working together draws from five things: internet marketing service, website designer, video production service, advertising agency, automation company. I size that to the audit's findings, never to a fixed tier.

How Fast Can We Start Working Together If My Business Is in Houston?

I reply to a first message within one business day, no phone tag. The kickoff call happens right after we've talked. A written plan comes before anything ships, and you get to push back on it.

Is Houston the Best Market, or Should I Look at the Whole State?

Houston (2,390,125 people) carries the biggest market, and I've found it's typically the toughest one to rank in. Competition concentrates wherever the customers already are. Houston-Pasadena-The Woodlands runs second. A plan bolted on as an afterthought wastes money there; it earns its own plan, not a footnote.

Which Industries in Texas Benefit Most From This?

The top industries, per BLS data, are Health Care and Social Assistance, Retail Trade, and Accommodation and Food Services. Those are also where I see the competition run thickest, the most businesses chasing the same searches.
