Arkansas
Internet Marketing Service in Arkansas: One Accountable Map.
I'm Caleb Schallert, based in Houston, and I run internet marketing for businesses in Arkansas the same remote-first way I run it everywhere I don't have a local office: websites, SEO, video, ads and automation, one person across all of it. An audit first, a plan you can see, and Search Console data every month proving it moved.
Internet Marketing Service Starts With Your ZIP Code
The state runs on local markets, from Little Rock out. Give me your ZIP, and I'll tell you straight what results look like for your specific one.

Working With Me From Houston
You don’t get a local rep, since I don’t have one to send. I run this from Houston, same as everywhere else.
- I read the site before I touch it
- You question the plan before it ships
- Something concrete by the first few weeks
Month one follows that order every time, no exceptions. Nothing turns into a black box.

Here’s what I build for you.
Audit
Everything live gets read before anything changes
Build
Built on a schedule you can follow along with
Prove
Numbers from Search Console, dated and checkable
Every client gets the same three steps as everywhere I work. But I’d rather hand you a number than tell you it’s going well.
The Market, Sourced
I start with the plain number here. 3,088,354 people live in Arkansas as of 2024 (U.S. Census Bureau estimate).
- 3,088,354 people, 33rd by population
- 70,452 employer businesses, 34th nationally (2023)
- About 22.8 employer businesses per 1,000 people
- Largest city: Little Rock, 204,774 people
That's usually the state's toughest market to rank in (7% of the state's population). Most of the searches live there, and so do most of the rivals.
The state splits into 3 metro areas by population, each running its own local search reality:
- Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway: 769,258 people
- Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers: 605,615 people
- Fort Smith: 232,848 people
Cross-border metros Arkansas businesses also compete in: Memphis, TN (1,339,345) and Texarkana, TX (145,576).
The state runs on Central time, the same clock I'm on in Houston. Scheduling a call is exactly as easy as it would be with someone local. That means our standing calls land at a time that works for both of us.
Industries the Workforce Runs On
These three sectors carry more of the workforce than anything else, per the BLS's own count, not my guess.
- Health Care and Social Assistance: 185,032 jobs, 2024 (where a worried searcher checks credentials before they check the map)
- Manufacturing: 161,999 jobs, 2024 (where the buyer is comparing documents, not driving distance)
- Retail Trade: 143,656 jobs, 2024 (where the calendar sets the volume, but accuracy still decides who gets clicked)
I have never reused one sector's playbook on another and gotten away with it.
Metro Search vs. Statewide Search
Google can't tell whether an internet marketing search means the whole state or just Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway, so the page has to answer for both.
- The one searcher who truly means the whole state is usually someone about to move here
- Voice search skews local harder than typed search does, even inside the state
- A search from Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway already reads local to Google before I touch anything
- Desktop sessions skew toward comparison shopping; phones skew local
I've rebuilt more than one page that tried answering both searches at once and answered neither. So the page carries both answers, the inconvenient one included. Simple as that.
What I Would Do First for an Arkansas Business
I've built for markets ten times Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway's size, and the process stays the same; only the pace changes. Which metro a business sells into, Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway or Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, decides the plan before anything else does.
- Health Care and Social Assistance carries 185,032 jobs statewide as of 2024; trust signals carry more weight than being nearby, so that's where the build starts
- Manufacturing carries 161,999 jobs statewide as of 2024; this is a research sale, so I'd build the content a buyer reads
- Retail Trade carries 143,656 jobs statewide as of 2024; I'd fix the listing accuracy before touching anything seasonal
The build gets sized to whichever metro the business competes in, Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway included. Simple rule, solid results.

Seasons, Timing and the Map Pack
The state doesn't run on one economic calendar, and a plan that assumes it does is already behind.
- Watch Health Care and Social Assistance closely; it keeps a quiet, even pace no matter the time of year
- Watch Manufacturing closely; it keeps a level pace year-round, tied to orders more than weather
- Watch Retail Trade closely; it tracks the national retail calendar, thicker competition around the holidays
I judge the state's timeline against Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway and Fort Smith separately, since a build that clears Fort Smith in weeks can take months in Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway. The state carries 70,452 employer businesses, and their calendars pull in different directions. A business owner once assumed the slow season was the same for every industry nearby, and building on that assumption cost a full quarter before the true seasonal pattern showed up in the data. Plain and simple.
Internet Marketing Service in Arkansas: What an Audit Usually Turns Up
Two findings follow, each from an audit on someone else's site. They show the work and say nothing about your site until it has been looked at.
- Zero form conversions reported against 1,103 form entries
- 1,898 key events and a 4.74 percent rate, both inflated
Green Tracking Settings and No Conversion Tag on the Site
The ad settings for an in-home-care company looked healthy: enhanced conversions checked, customer data terms accepted, a green tag message. The website itself carried no conversion tag. The report counted zero form conversions on 341 website clicks in 30 days, while the form plugin's own list held 1,103 entries across the two live lead forms. The zero was a tracking failure. The tag work went first, and no page was rebuilt. We now confirm a tag from the page itself, in the rendered HTML and the loaded containers.
One Form Fill Counted as Two Conversions
Before a client report went out, a home-care company's twelve-month figures read 1,898 key events and a 4.74 percent rate. Both were inflated. Two of the four starred events were deliberate: a thank-you page view and a phone click. The third was the analytics platform's own automatic form event, so one person filling in one form recorded two conversions. The fourth was a purchase event on a business with no ecommerce. We diffed the events against the tag manager's tags, and a conversion figure now waits for 28 clean days.
What's on the Table
The audit decides which of these a business needs. There is no package tier to pick from.
- Internet Marketing Service: the SEO, content, and technical work that gets a site found by the people already searching.
- Website Designer: a site built fast and clean enough to convert the traffic the SEO work already sends it.
- Video Production Service: video in the brand's own voice, not another stock-footage reel.
- Advertising Agency: paid ads to hold the gap open while the organic rankings climb underneath them.
- Automation Company: automated routing and follow-up, so a fresh lead never sits waiting on a reply.
Start narrow, add the rest once the first is producing. Search Console data and a monthly call come with whatever mix you choose.
This one page is a single entry in the full United States directory, with the country-level numbers alongside it.
No generic national page could hold this: population, competition, and industry mix all move state to state.
The Five Services
An engagement usually pulls from this same set of five. Where your business stands today decides which ones, not a sales pitch.

Quick Answers
Do You Have an Office in Arkansas?
No, and I won't pretend otherwise. Houston, Texas is home base, and a client in Arkansas gets exactly the process I run everywhere without a physical office. A launch or a shoot gets me on a plane; a status update never does.
How Is Working With Someone Outside Arkansas Different From Hiring Locally?
It's mostly a question of tools. A kickoff call and a written plan cover what a desk visit used to. I've flagged a dropping number to a client before they'd even opened that month's report themselves.
What Does Working With Me in Arkansas Include?
Working together can cover five things: internet marketing service, website designer, video production service, advertising agency, automation company. I've had a client only ever need one of them, and I've had a client need all five inside a year. The audit tells me which, not a package tier.
How Fast Can We Start Working Together If My Business Is in Little Rock?
I reply within a business day of your first message, no phone tag. Once we've talked through the business, the kickoff call comes next. A written plan you can question comes before anything ships.
Is Little Rock the Best Market, or Should I Look at the Whole State?
Little Rock (204,774 people) is the state's largest market, usually the hardest one to rank in. I put the most work where the most customers already are. I'd still build Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers its own plan; it's a separate local-search reality, not an afterthought bolted onto the bigger metro's strategy.
Which Industries in Arkansas Benefit Most From This?
The top industries, per BLS data, are Health Care and Social Assistance, Manufacturing, and Retail Trade. Those are also where I see the competition run thickest, the most businesses chasing the same searches.
