Internet Marketing Service in Louisiana: Built to Convert.

I'm Caleb Schallert, based in Houston, and Louisiana businesses come here for internet marketing that covers all of it: websites, SEO, video, ads and automation. Same remote-first way of working as anywhere I don't keep a local office: an audit, a plan you get to see, and Search Console data every month, proof included.

Internet Marketing Service Starts With Your ZIP Code

Whether you're in New Orleans or anywhere else in the state, give me your ZIP. I'll show you what results look like for your market.

What Working With Me Looks Like

No office in the state. I’m in Houston, and I run clients here the way I run anyone I can’t just drive to.

  • What’s live gets read first
  • A plan drafted for your pushback
  • Movement you can point to inside weeks

That’s the shape I hold to for any business here: nothing hidden, nothing pushed to next quarter.

Caleb Schallert, based in Houston, works with clients across the country.

Here’s what I build for you.

Audit, build, prove: the same three steps in every state.

Audit, build, prove, in that order, for any engagement, same as anywhere else. Skip a step and it shows up later, probably at a worse time.

The Numbers Behind the Market

As of 2024, Louisiana counts 4,597,740 people (U.S. Census Bureau estimate). I don't round that up or down for anybody.

  • 4,597,740 people, 25th by population
  • 108,561 employer businesses, 25th nationally (2023)
  • About 23.6 employer businesses per 1,000 people
  • Largest city: New Orleans, 362,701 people

The hardest market to break into sits right there (8% of the state's population), where the volume concentrates.

Louisiana's 5 largest metro areas, by population, each its own local search reality:

  • New Orleans-Metairie: 966,230 people
  • Baton Rouge: 882,652 people
  • Lafayette: 419,704 people
  • Shreveport-Bossier City: 383,269 people
  • Slidell-Mandeville-Covington: 277,615 people

The state runs on Central time, the same clock I'm on in Houston. Scheduling a call is exactly as easy as it would be with someone local. That means our standing calls land at a time that works for both of us.

What the Workforce Works In

The workforce concentrates in these three sectors. I check the BLS numbers on this before I build a plan, every time.

  • Health Care and Social Assistance: 293,819 jobs, 2024 (where a credential page does more work than a location pin)
  • Retail Trade: 215,035 jobs, 2024 (a calendar with sharp seasonal swings, where stale hours cost a click)
  • Accommodation and Food Services: 196,045 jobs, 2024 (where answering a bad review fast beats collecting five-star ones passively)

Swapping the business name on a borrowed template is not a plan. The sector the business sits in is where the plan starts.

An internet marketing search could mean the whole state or it could mean New Orleans-Metairie, and I've learned to plan for either one.

  • The one searcher who truly means the whole state is usually someone about to move here
  • Voice search skews local harder than typed search does, even inside the state
  • A search from New Orleans-Metairie already reads local to Google before I touch anything
  • Desktop sessions skew toward comparison shopping; phones skew local

I've had two inquiries land the same afternoon, one asking about the whole state and one asking only about their block. I build the page to hold both, since guessing wrong loses half the traffic. Both readers matter.

What I Would Do First for a Louisiana Business

Before I recommend anything, I need to know which metro a business sells into. New Orleans-Metairie and Baton Rouge run in two entirely separate competitive fields.

  • 293,819 people worked in Health Care and Social Assistance here as of 2024. That's why a worried searcher checks credentials before a map, so that's where I'd open the build
  • 215,035 people worked in Retail Trade here as of 2024. That's why I'd get the hours and inventory accurate first; the map pack rewards it
  • 196,045 people worked in Accommodation and Food Services here as of 2024. That's why the review engine is the first build here, ahead of the star count

I'd spend the first 30 days on New Orleans-Metairie's own competitive field, then check Search Console 30 days later for that specific metro. I've never built the same plan twice for two different metros, even in the same state. A clinic and a retailer sitting on the same block can end up with almost nothing in common once the audit is finished, since the sector shapes the plan far more than the address ever does. No two plans match.

I circle the row before I stake it. In Louisiana that circle is a metro, not a coin flip.

Seasons, Timing and the Map Pack

I'd rather name the gap between New Orleans-Metairie and Slidell-Mandeville-Covington up front than promise the same pace for both. One calendar doesn't fit the state, at least not once you look past the first industry.

  • Health Care and Social Assistance is the one to watch here; it barely moves with the seasons at all
  • Retail Trade is the one to watch here; it tracks the national retail calendar, thicker competition around the holidays
  • Accommodation and Food Services is the one to watch here; it moves with travel, without one single tourist season covering the state

108,561 employer businesses call the state home, spread across industries that don't share a rhythm. That gap is real.

Internet Marketing Service in Louisiana: What an Audit Usually Turns Up

Here are two problems that audits on other sites turned up, with the numbers from each. Whether your site has either one is something only an audit can say.

  • Discovered pages: 19 up to 135, on a site of about 230
  • Homepage weight: 32 MB down to 5.7 MB, a cut of 82 percent

Google Knew About 19 of Roughly 230 Pages

A children's science-education franchise ran on a WordPress multisite, and each location builds its own sitemap index. Only the main site's index had gone to Google, and Search Console showed 19 discovered pages against about 230 on the site. We submitted every location's index to Search Console and Bing. We also added the missing sitemap lines to robots.txt. Discovered pages went from 19 to 135. That is discovery, not indexing, and we did not claim otherwise.

A Homepage That Downloaded 32 MB Before Anyone Scrolled

A children's apparel store's new homepage pulled in 32 MB on first view, because a five-video slider started loading before anyone scrolled. Each video was tagged to load only its metadata, but videos hosted on that platform need most of the file read to get it. Now a video downloads nothing until it is on screen, and a poster stands in. The page fell from 32 MB to 5.7 MB, down 82 percent, and the four off-screen slides sat at zero bytes. The 1.36 MB PNG hero is now a 146 KB JPEG.

What an Engagement Can Include

The audit decides which of these a business needs. There is no package tier to pick from.

  • Internet Marketing Service: SEO and content work, plus the technical fixes underneath, so a site gets found.
  • Website Designer: a site built fast and clean enough to convert the traffic the SEO work already sends it.
  • Video Production Service: video that carries the brand's own voice, not stock-footage filler.
  • Advertising Agency: ads that buy time for the organic rankings still building underneath them.
  • Automation Company: automated routing and follow-up, so a fresh lead never sits waiting on a reply.

Start narrow, add the rest once the first is producing. Search Console data and a monthly call come with whatever mix you choose.

This page is part of a full United States directory, alongside the country-level numbers, so each state can be read against the rest of the country, not in isolation.

Population, competition, and industry mix all move by state, which is why this isn't one generic national page.

The Five Services

Work here usually draws from these five things. I couldn't tell you which ones you need without seeing the site first.

Quick Answers

Do You Have an Office in Louisiana?

No, and I won't pretend otherwise. Houston, Texas is home base, and a client in Louisiana gets exactly the process I run everywhere without a physical office. A launch or a shoot gets me on a plane; a status update never does.

How Is Working With Someone Outside Louisiana Different From Hiring Locally?

Distance changes the tools, not the standard I hold myself to. A kickoff call and a plan you can question take the place of a desk visit. I still answer my own phone, and I'll tell you straight when something isn't working, the same as if I were sitting across the table from you.

What Does Working With Me in Louisiana Include?

Working together can cover five things: internet marketing service, website designer, video production service, advertising agency, automation company. I've had a client only ever need one of them, and I've had a client need all five inside a year. The audit tells me which, not a package tier.

How Fast Can We Start Working Together If My Business Is in New Orleans?

I reply to a first message within one business day, no phone tag. The kickoff call happens right after we've talked. A written plan comes before anything ships, and you get to push back on it.

Is New Orleans the Best Market, or Should I Look at the Whole State?

New Orleans (362,701 people) is the state's largest market, usually the hardest one to rank in. I put the most work where the most customers already are. I'd still build Baton Rouge its own plan; it's a separate local-search reality, not an afterthought bolted onto the bigger metro's strategy.

Which Industries in Louisiana Benefit Most From This?

Per BLS data: Health Care and Social Assistance, Retail Trade, and Accommodation and Food Services lead employment. In my experience that's usually where the field gets most crowded too, more businesses fighting for the same handful of searches.
