Indiana
Internet Marketing Service in Indiana: Run From Houston.
I'm Caleb Schallert, based in Houston, and Indiana businesses come here for internet marketing that covers all of it: websites, SEO, video, ads and automation. Same remote-first way of working as anywhere I don't keep a local office: an audit, a plan you get to see, and Search Console data every month, proof included.
Internet Marketing Service Starts With Your ZIP Code
Whether you're in Indianapolis or anywhere else in the state, give me your ZIP. I'll show you what results look like for your market.

How Remote Work With Me Runs
Clients here don’t get a local address, because there isn’t one to give them. Houston is where I sit.
- I read the site before I touch it
- You question the plan before it ships
- Something concrete by the first few weeks
You get the same opening month as any client: audit, then plan, then something you can see.

The Market, Sourced
I start with the plain number here. 6,924,275 people live in Indiana as of 2024 (U.S. Census Bureau estimate).
- 6,924,275 people, 17th by population
- 155,692 employer businesses, 17th nationally (2023)
- About 22.5 employer businesses per 1,000 people
- Largest city: Indianapolis, 900,896 people
The hardest market to break into sits right there (13% of the state's population), where the volume concentrates.
Indiana's 2 largest metro areas, by population, each its own local search reality:
- Indianapolis-Carmel-Greenwood: 2,174,833 people
- Fort Wayne: 462,978 people
Cross-border metros Indiana businesses also compete in: Chicago, IL (9,408,576), Cincinnati, OH (2,302,815), and Louisville/Jefferson County, KY (1,394,234).
The state splits across 2 federally defined time zones: Eastern and Central, depending on where in the state you are. That's per 49 CFR Part 71. I build the standing call around it, so it lands at a workable time on both ends.
The Top Industries
I look at BLS numbers before I look at anything else, and for this state they point to these three sectors.
- Manufacturing: 523,146 jobs, 2024 (I've built these pages for the researcher, since the map pack barely applies)
- Health Care and Social Assistance: 450,914 jobs, 2024 (and here it's trust signals and reviews that decide a click, almost as much as being nearby)
- Retail Trade: 314,693 jobs, 2024 (where the calendar sets the volume, but accuracy still decides who gets clicked)
A retailer and a clinic never get the same build from me, whatever the state line says.
Metro Search vs. Statewide Search
A search reads two ways to me. An internet marketing search, typed into Google, could mean the whole state, or it could mean Indianapolis-Carmel-Greenwood specifically.
- The one searcher who truly means the whole state is usually someone about to move here
- Voice search skews local harder than typed search does, even inside the state
- A search from Indianapolis-Carmel-Greenwood already reads local to Google before I touch anything
- Desktop sessions skew toward comparison shopping; phones skew local
I've explained this same split to more businesses than I can count. So I write for both, since either one is worth ranking for. One page, two jobs.
What I Would Do First for an Indiana Business
Naming Indianapolis-Carmel-Greenwood or Fort Wayne comes before anything else in a plan.
- I've found spec sheets close more deals here than a map listing ever could, since Manufacturing alone accounts for 523,146 jobs here in 2024
- The first build here is trust, not location; I've seen that hold up every time, since Health Care and Social Assistance alone accounts for 450,914 jobs here in 2024
- I'd get the hours and inventory accurate first; the map pack rewards it, since Retail Trade alone accounts for 314,693 jobs here in 2024
A quieter market still gets the same three-part shape from me; it just moves through each part faster. Thirty to sixty days go into Indianapolis-Carmel-Greenwood's field specifically; sixty to ninety are proof, not a statewide guess. That's where I start.

Seasons, Timing and the Map Pack
I judge the state's timeline against Indianapolis-Carmel-Greenwood and Fort Wayne separately, since a build that clears Fort Wayne in weeks can take months in Indianapolis-Carmel-Greenwood. One calendar doesn't fit the state, at least not once you look past the first industry.
- Manufacturing is the one to watch here; it holds steady output, with barely any seasonal swing
- Health Care and Social Assistance is the one to watch here; it runs the flattest calendar of the three, steady demand year-round
- Retail Trade is the one to watch here; it follows the calendar every retailer already plans around
I count 155,692 employer businesses here, and they don't all move on the same clock. I judge how fast a listing can move by how many competitors are fighting for the same spot, not by the size of the state it happens to sit in. Plain and simple.
Internet Marketing Service in Indiana: What an Audit Usually Turns Up
Audits on other sites keep turning up the problems below, each with its numbers. They are not a diagnosis of your site, only a picture of what the first pass looks for.
- Click-through rate of 1.01 percent against 0.09 percent site-wide
- Homepage weight: 32 MB down to 5.7 MB, a cut of 82 percent
Eighty-Three Thin Pages the Rules Said to Delete
Every thin-content rule said to delete the 83 short case-result pages on a personal-injury law firm's site. Their median was 253 words, and 71 of them ran under 300. They earned a 1.01 percent click-through rate, about eleven times the site-wide 0.09 percent. One page had a settlement figure in its title. It took 16 clicks from 584 impressions. We recommended keeping all 83 and linking them from the matching service pages, since a concrete result in the title is what someone comparing firms clicks.
A Homepage That Downloaded 32 MB Before Anyone Scrolled
A children's apparel store's homepage weighed 32 MB on first view. The new slider had loaded five videos on arrival. Each video was tagged to load only its metadata, but videos hosted on that platform need most of the file read to get it. We set the videos to load nothing until visible, with a poster in place. Page weight dropped to 5.7 MB, an 82 percent cut. The other four slides sat at zero bytes. The 1.36 MB PNG hero is now a 146 KB JPEG.
This page sits inside the full United States directory, right alongside the country-level numbers and every other state I've already built a page for.
The Five Services
Work here usually draws from these five things. I couldn't tell you which ones you need without seeing the site first.

Quick Answers
Do You Have an Office in Indiana?
No, I'm based in Houston, Texas. An Indiana client gets the same remote-first process I use everywhere I don't have a physical office. A launch, a shoot, or a leadership meeting gets me on a plane; nothing less does, and I'd rather say that than imply a local presence that isn't real.
How Is Working With Someone Outside Indiana Different From Hiring Locally?
Distance changes the tools, not the standard I hold myself to. A kickoff call and a plan you can question take the place of a desk visit. I still answer my own phone, and I'll tell you straight when something isn't working, the same as if I were sitting across the table from you.
What Does Working With Me in Indiana Include?
Working together can cover five things: internet marketing service, website designer, video production service, advertising agency, automation company. I've had a client only ever need one of them, and I've had a client need all five inside a year. The audit tells me which, not a package tier.
How Fast Can We Start Working Together If My Business Is in Indianapolis?
A business day is usually all it takes to hear back from me, no phone tag involved. We talk through the business, set the kickoff call, and a written plan follows before anything moves.
