Internet Marketing Service in Georgia: From One Person.

Caleb Schallert, based in Houston. Georgia businesses get the same remote-first process I use everywhere I don't have a local office, across websites, SEO, video, ads and automation. An audit, a plan you can read start to finish, and Search Console data every month that proves it moved.

Internet Marketing Service Starts With Your ZIP Code

Whether you're in Atlanta or anywhere else in the state, give me your ZIP. I'll show you what results look like for your market.

What Working With Me Looks Like

Ask if I keep a local office and the answer is no. Houston is home base, remote-first, no exceptions made.

  • Start with what’s already there
  • A plan you’re allowed to argue with
  • Movement inside the first few weeks, not months

That’s the shape I hold to for any business here: nothing hidden, nothing pushed to next quarter.

Caleb Schallert, based in Houston, works with clients across the country.

The Numbers Behind the Market

11,180,878 people, 2024 (U.S. Census Bureau estimate). That's Georgia, and the size of the field a business here competes in.

  • 11,180,878 people, 8th by population
  • 261,320 employer businesses, 7th nationally (2023)
  • About 23.4 employer businesses per 1,000 people
  • Largest city: Atlanta, 520,070 people

That's where the field gets thickest (5% of the state's population). More searches just means more rivals chasing the same ones.

By population there are 4 metro areas, and each one is its own local search reality:

  • Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell: 6,411,149 people
  • Augusta-Richmond County: 636,760 people
  • Savannah: 431,589 people
  • Columbus: 324,343 people

The cross-border metro Georgia businesses also compete in: Chattanooga, TN (588,050).

The state runs on Eastern time, 1 hour ahead of Houston's Central time, per 49 CFR Part 71. It's a genuine factor in scheduling, and I plan around it instead of a Houston-only calendar.

What the Workforce Works In

I pulled BLS employment data instead of guessing, and these are the industries the state runs on.

  • Health Care and Social Assistance: 587,944 jobs, 2024 (I've watched reviews and credentials outweigh being the closest option, more than once)
  • Retail Trade: 511,713 jobs, 2024 (and the map pack rewards whoever keeps hours and inventory current)
  • Accommodation and Food Services: 449,486 jobs, 2024 (I've watched a business out-rank a nicer competitor purely by replying faster)

I size the plan to the sector. That has cost me time when I guessed it early and skipped the audit.

A Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell search and a statewide search come from two different readers entirely.

  • The one searcher who truly means the whole state is usually someone about to move here
  • Voice search skews local harder than typed search does, even inside the state
  • A search from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell already reads local to Google before I touch anything
  • Desktop sessions skew toward comparison shopping; phones skew local

I've explained this same split to more businesses than I can count. One page trying to serve both usually shortchanges each. No guessing which one.

What I Would Do First for a Georgia Business

Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell's field and Augusta-Richmond County's field don't overlap enough to share a plan.

  • Health Care and Social Assistance is 587,944 jobs strong statewide (2024), so location comes second here in my experience; credentials and reviews come first
  • Retail Trade is 511,713 jobs strong statewide (2024), so accurate hours and current inventory move the map pack more than anything else
  • Accommodation and Food Services is 449,486 jobs strong statewide (2024), so I'd build the reply habit first; the pages can wait a week longer

I size the build to what the data supports here, never a padded plan bigger than the market itself. Days 30 to 60 build the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell-specific plan; a smaller metro can probably win faster on a thinner field. Metro first, always.

Only one row gets lit at a time. In Georgia that light falls on a metro before it falls on a service.

Seasons, Timing and the Map Pack

The quietest industry calendar in the state is where I'd start a build, every time. I count 261,320 employer businesses here, and they don't all move on the same clock.

  • Health Care and Social Assistance is one of three here, and it holds level month to month, unlike the other two
  • Retail Trade is one of three here, and it climbs every holiday season, the same as it does nationwide
  • Accommodation and Food Services is one of three here, and it tracks the visitor calendar more closely than the weather

I've moved a listing up in Columbus faster than I've ever managed in Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, purely because fewer businesses were competing for the same spot. A business owner once assumed the slow season was the same for every industry nearby, and building on that assumption cost a full quarter before the true seasonal pattern showed up in the data. The calendar decides pace.

Internet Marketing Service in Georgia: What an Audit Usually Turns Up

Audits on other sites keep turning up the problems below, each with its numbers. They are not a diagnosis of your site, only a picture of what the first pass looks for.

  • 22 of 157 redirect destinations returned 404
  • On-page score from 20 to 73 on a keyword change alone

Twenty-Two Redirect Rules Pointing at Pages That Returned 404

A personal-injury law firm's redirect table had been checked twice, and both audits looked only at sources: loops, self-redirects, chains, duplicates. Where the rules sent people went unchecked. We diffed all 157 unique destinations against the 450 canonical URLs in the XML sitemaps, which left 33 candidates, and 22 returned 404. The cause was Spanish pages that moved under /es/ while the table never followed. We repointed all 22, 19 of them to the exact /es/ twin, and the final table held 281 rules with none pointing at a 404.

A 4,100-A-Month Keyword That Belonged to a Government Program

A home-care company's service page had been assigned a keyword with 4,100 searches a month, chosen on volume alone. Its nearest neighbors were dominated by a national benefit program, its acronym and its state variants. A private company cannot win it. It would not convert the traffic if it did. The page's title, URL and H1 already matched a phrase searched 2,300 times a month, and changing the target alone took the on-page score from 20 to 73. We now read a keyword's ten nearest neighbors before committing to it.

This page is part of a full United States directory, alongside the country-level numbers, so each state can be read against the rest of the country, not in isolation.

Quick Answers

Do You Have an Office in Georgia?

I'm based in Houston, Texas, with no Georgia storefront to point to. Every client gets the same remote-first process. When a trip is truly warranted, a launch, a shoot, a leadership meeting, I book it. Otherwise the work runs remote, and I don't pretend it's something else.

How Is Working With Someone Outside Georgia Different From Hiring Locally?

It's mostly a question of tools. A kickoff call and a written plan cover what a desk visit used to. I've flagged a dropping number to a client before they'd even opened that month's report themselves.

What Does Working With Me in Georgia Include?

Five things sit inside working together: internet marketing service, website designer, video production service, advertising agency, automation company. I've turned down selling all five to a business that only needed two of them, and I'd do it again.

How Fast Can We Start Working Together If My Business Is in Atlanta?

I reply within a business day of your first message, no phone tag. Once we've talked through the business, the kickoff call comes next. A written plan you can question comes before anything ships.
